5 months, 2 weeks, and 1 day

That is how long it has been since I last used our master bathroom.

In August, our bathroom shower started leaking. Which doesn't sound like a huge deal, until the ceiling in the bathroom below it falls down. Then you have to remodel a bathroom. When you have someone else do the work for you and you get to just make all the decorating decisions, remodeling a bathroom turns out to be awesome.

Here is what the original bathroom looked like. Like the flesh colored tile? Did you know it is the most flattering color to have in a bathroom? That's why they don't make this color anymore.

Do you know how many decisions you have to make when you remodel something? I felt like my head was going to explode and I didn't really know which item to start with.

I knew I wanted stunning skinny mosaic tile. So we started there.

From the accent tile..we picked the vanity color, then the floor tile, then the paint color, then the granite. Here's the Pinterest board for the remodel. In case you missed my love for pinterest, you can find it here. This website made it so much easier to save things and see the bathroom all come together. I highly recommend.

Here is what the bathroom looked like during the process...

Stripped to the studs. The bathroom felt huge when all the walls were down!
Oh hello mold covered insulation.

And now we have new fancy drywall instead of the terrifying plaster that is impossible to hang things in

Look at our super fancy shower nooks

Then we had floors and a vanity!

Here is the construction pile that lived in our room for a few months...

Although, having a toilet in the middle of your bedroom may be convenient. Stay tuned for the after pictures! It's the most beautiful bathroom I've ever seen.
